65th “Find-Your-Role-Model” Session ( 1st in 2022 Series) - Dr. Takaaki Nakada
We have been holding a series of events called “Find-Your-Role-Model” Session to provide students with opportunities to interact with TMDU alumni and worldwide leaders in healthcare sciences. Through this roundtable-type, relaxed atmosphere event, we hope students will be able to find their role models to help facilitate their career development toward becoming future global leaders.
This time we will host Dr. Takaaki Nakada, who is a CEO of Smart119 inc. and a professor of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine at Chiba University. After graduating from Chiba University School of Medicine in 1999, he continued his PhD studies there and conducted genetic research in the field of emergency medicine at the University of British Columbia from 2008 to 2011. After returning to Japan, his project "Development of Smart Patient Information Collection, Processing, and Sharing System for Fast and Correct Emergency Medicine" was selected by AMED R&D Project in 2016. In 2018, he founded Smart199 inc., a medical tech venture of Chiba University, with the mission of saving more patients by smartly solving issues in the medical field through the fusion of cutting-edge technology and flexible and creative ideas. He is active in a variety of fields as both a business manager and a university professor.
