In July 2013, Tokyo Medical and Dental University signed an agreement with Waseda University with the primary goal of cooperation in global human resource development. This will be the fourth gathering of "Discussion Café" under this cooperation.

This event provides a rich environment for discussion of current controversial topics due to the mixture of graduate and undergraduate students from various school faculties, with the added plus of cross-cultural exchange with international students. Discussion will be conducted in English, with pre-event materials sent out upon application for advance preparation for discussion. This fourth event's topic will be "making Japan an international society".
