Health Sciences Leadership Program
This all-English leader-training program, which spans several years, targets students who harbor strong aspirations for global careers in medicine and/or medical fields. It is the flagship of the university undergraduate global human resource development initiatives, for the purpose of training world-level leaders in bioscience research, global health, health policy and medical industries.

“Find-Your-Role-Model” Sessions
The Find-Your-Role-Model series (FYRM) invites global leaders from the health sciences arena to discuss their educational and career trajectories with our current students and faculty members. These sessions provide an opportunity for the TMDU community to be inspired by the leadership achievements and activities of FYRM guests and to network with these role models for future career development.

Global Communication Workshop
This English mock negotiation workshop, using a case based on an international health issue, is held every spring and targeted at freshmen students. Through this workshop, students can recognize through experience which qualities are required for an active global career in the future, making goal setting easier.

Discussion Café
In cooperation with affiliated universities, Discussion Café (DCafé) brings together students from various cultural and educational backgrounds to discuss solutions to complex global health issues in English. DCafé is a chance for students to network with other future global leaders, as well as practice their discussion and debate skills and enhance their knowledge about the health sciences.

FOCUS Course
A long-term all English specialized training program with the goal of thoroughly polishing clinical, patient management and communication skills of medical students who are scheduled to participate in clinical training overseas; so that they can have a fulfilling and friendly competitive experience with other top university medical students of the world.
